FAQ

Q. What kind of gear do you use?

A. My primary camera body is a well-used Canon 5D Mark III. I use a variety of lenses, my go-to being a Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM. Other lenses that see frequent use are a Canon 100mm f/2.8 macro, and a Canon 50mm f/1.4. I recently purchased a Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 telephoto. 98% of my camera gear is purchased used.

On occasion, I’ve rented equipment for specific adventures. For those instances, I’ve used Lensrentals.

I recently upgraded from a Lenovo something-or-other laptop, which was incredibly slow and somehow didn’t melt while running Lightroom. While expensive, the 16” MacBook Pro was nothing less than a jump to warp speed!

Not quite gear related, but my watermark is courtesy of Photologo. They are always running sales, so definitely look into them if you want a more stylish way to mark your photos!

Q. What types of occasions do you shoot?

A. Everything and anything!

Q. What are your rates?

A. For quoting purposes, I follow a simple scale:

  • Photo shoot: $75/hour

  • Travel time: $50/hour, $25/half-hour

  • Editing: $50/hour

Rates are subject to change, and may differ on a case-by-case basis. Travel rate is calculated using the estimated arrival time on Google Maps, with the rate rounded up or down to the closest half-hour.

Q. I’d like to purchase a print of one of your photos, but I can’t find it in Darkroom. Is there still a way to purchase a print?

A. Not all my photos are readily available for purchase. However, if you see something in my gallery that isn’t listed in the shop, send me an email or a DM on Instagram and I’ll see what I can do!
